Personality and Interests
Jayne's short life has involved only trying to survive. As such, she only now has the opportunity to explore recreational pursuits. She is keen to experience Blue Dwarfs social scene, but knows that as yet, the crew will not be ready to accept her.
History
Jayne was cloned from Jay Chrysler, and her DNA modified to make her female. She was the first creation of Jay's original clone and the scientist personality of Jack FeBuggure who was trapped in the ships computer network. The Jay clone and Jack created and army of clones of both Jay, and Jack - Jay's being modified in various ways, and attempted to take over the ship.
Jayne, was instrumental in that plan, and followed the Jay clone loyally. She was presumed dead after the clone army were destroyed by an antidote to the ointment that created the original. After a few years, Jayne re-emerged, revealing that she had in fact survived due to an immunity to the virus built into the female chromosome. Free from the original clones influence she in time developed her own sense of morality, but not before turning to a life of crime to survive, encountering at one point Rosette LaChance and was responsible for the death of her parents. Wracked with guilt, she decided to help what she believed to be a dying race stike up a trading agreement with Earth.
It was later revealed that these aliens were in fact trying to eat the human race and had recruited her own gang, the Bloodhound Gang, to deceive her into helping them. Horrified upon discovering the truth, Jayne switched sides and helped Dante and Jay sabotage the ship, preventing it from falling into Mollpod hands and stopping them from using it to lead their fleet to Earth.
She has since been offered a position as a trainee pilot by Jay, to develop the natural flying skills inherited by her DNA donor and lead, for the first time, a normal life.
