Physical Appearance
Rufus is fairly short, reaching only 5 foot 8 inches. The half GELF boy has all the physical apperances of a human, it's on the inside that is different.
He has blonde hair that he keeps longish so that when he is working it gets in his blue eyes. Recently it's grown out because of his lax care and not going to get it cut, now he wears it tied back in a pathetic attempt at a pony tail. Rufus found out he has to wear glasses, whether this is because of all the toxic fumes or something else is unknown though.
Personality and Interests
Rufus is quiet and likes to keep himself to himself, unlike his loud sister. He does however, get defensive when someone offends his chosen profession or a friend. He's not very good at dealing with critisism and gets offended easily.
Rufus is interested in science in all it\'s forms. There isn't much else he is interested in. He is usually trying to invent something new or make better something that already exists.
Since the death of his Mother, Rufus has also in his spare time, and any time he can afford to not spend on Blue Dwarf affairs working on a way to bring her back. This has lead to a him becoming more of an expert on cryogenics.
History
Rufus was born on the 6th November 2101 at 9:46pm. Due to his fathers GELF DNA, Rufus and his sister Amber aged 16 or 17 years in a month or so. He is more human than his sister having only 45% GELF DNA, and as such recievs very few of the side effects of the GELF DNA that his sister suffers from. As well as having 6 base pairs, Rufus has heightened dexterity and inteligance.
The Hyper-Growth would have continued and the twins would have died, had it not been for a medical trip that ended with a crash on an abandoned plannet full of lots of nasty creatures. Trisees, Cerebrum and Keto managed to argue their way into using local technology to split Cerebrums personality and to halt the Hyper-Growth. As well as the physical effects of the ageing, the mental effects were also presant.
Rufus went through a phase of tinkering with the skutters and earned him a place in their \'to be avoided\' books. This was the early stage and beginning of his love with science.
Rufus was already an avid science fan and quite the genius when he met Trisees in an accident that had left him onboard the Dwarf and stuck inside the Time Fridge after an evacuation. Trisees became somewhat of a role model for Rufus in a short amount of time.
After Trisees dissaperance, Rufus turned to science as a way to proove himself to his missing role model, hoping that one day he would invent a way to bring the Scientist back. During this time he gained a crush on Vanessa Chrysler and worked up the confidence to ask her out.
During an away mission and whilst protecting Vanessa from the effects of an avalance Rufus suffered injuries to his leg that have resulted in a premenant limp.
