The lift quickly made the descent to the medical department..corny piano music playing through the speakers.
By the time the lift arrived he gotten his breath back and again broke into a high paced sprint Skidding into the Medibay he crashed into a desk covered in strange vials that had a notice saying DR. KETOS EXPERIEMENT DO NOT TOUCH! on it Jay 'accidentally' kicked a few test tubes around and made more mess.

Medical
The Doctors and Nurses on Blue Dwarf mostly all work in the medi-bay. This is a standard medical practise where crew members can visit when they are ill or injured.
The Medical team on the ship are diligent in their duties and mostly aim to cure people quickly, although Dr Keto's ointments have been known to produce random effects on patients.
Everyone was busy, so there was no need to treat anyone. So a few lives would be saved today. Kai prayed no-one got hurt. Not because he cared, it just he didn't even know a thing about the human body. Considering he was in the medical department, he fitted it with the rest of the incompent crew.
