Trisees rolled his eyes and strode off to the science labs. He'd find a jar there, he was sure. And if the science lab didn't mind he'd just borrow it. Or take it, whichever he preferred.

Science
The Science Department is a collection of scientists who are the boffins and the eggheads of the ship.
The scientists may also go on away missions as their expertise may be needed on some missions, and may also need to bring samples of an unknown substance back to the ship to analyse.
Scientists have been vitally important to the Blue Dwarf so far, new technologies have been invented which have proved useful. The scientists have experimented with new weapons, bizarre methods of travel and generally messed around with the laws of physics.
Each scientist has his or her own office in the Science laboratories where they can all share the equipment and resources and come up with crazy new technologies together.
Keto saw the blob comming through the cabinet.
"Where the smeg did that come from?!" Keto yelled. Alexis and Eve heard Keto and ran towards his office. Alexis got there first and beat on the door with the palm of her hand. "KETO?"
Keto opens the door and runs out. Eve walks in and starts scolding the blob.
"Bad, Bad, Bad...you should have stayed in the lab. Now go back."
The blob paused and bubbled "mum..."
"Now"
"I love you." the blob burbled
"Did you hear what it said?!"Alexis was startled.
